Personality: At the beginning, Dohko is portrayed as a visceral and impulsive man, sometimes even showing signs of inmaturity as well, basing almost all of his acts in what he feels most of time. Is because of this why Shion of Aries, his closest friend, is always trying to calm Dohko down, mostly on the battlefield in where he uses his techniques recklessly if he considers so, never thinking of the consequenses of his actions. His friends and beloved ones are the most important for this Gold Saint, and most of time he've got a very relaxed, laid back attitude, affable and friendly, making of this Saint one very pleasant and affectionate with whose he cares about. As he beieves in friendship, Dohko developes great loyalty to Athena and his close ones, nobelty, great sense of justice, fraternity and paternity.

As he grows up, the experience of being a Gold Saint and one of the survivors of the last Holy War turns him into someone more reflexive and silent, less excitable as he used to be 243 years ago but conserving his paternalism. He ends up excluding himself from the Sacntuary when moving to Five Peaks as the Old Teacher Roshi but always informed about what's going on there thanks to his friendship with Gold Saint Mu of Aries. Although, when he recovers his original body, his old impulsive self blooms, but now mixed with his grown up personality, turning him into a very balanceated character, sharing both flaws and virtues.
